Kwang-Soo Jang
Kwang-Soo Jang, from Seoul, South Korea, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 91st International Convention, held in Bangkok, Thailand, June 23-27, 2008.
Jang is the president of a construction firm.
A member of the Sae Ulsan Lions Club and a Lion since 1995, Director Jang has held many offices within the association, including club president, region chairperson, vice district governor, district governor and council chairperson.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Jang has received numerous awards, including the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the International President's Award, the International President's Leadership Award and the International President's Certificate of Appreciation. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Jang has been active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Kyungpook National Unviersity Alumni board of directors, the Ulsan Branch of the Korea Specialty Construction Association, the Human Rights Commission of the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency and the Ulsan Peace Forum.
Director Jang and his wife, Myung-Un Kim, have three children and four grandchildren.
