Rosane T. Jahnke Vailatti
Rosane T. Jahnke Vailatti, lives in the city of Penha, in the
State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. She was elected to serve a
two-year term as a director of The International Association of
Lions Clubs at the association's 91st International Convention,
held in Bangkok, Thailand, June 23-27, 2008.
Director Rosane Vailatti was a teacher, is a lawyer and presides a
governmental foundation that regulates all policy related to
special education in her state. She is also the owner of a hotel in
Brazil.
A member of the Jaragu' do Sul Lions Club and a Lion since 1991,
Director Vailatti has held many offices within the association,
including club president, district governor and council
chairperson.

In recognition of her service to the association, Director Vailatti
has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President
Award, the 100% District Governor Award, and International
President's medals. She is a Melvin Jones Fellow and a Helen Keller
Knight of Sight.
In addition to her Lions activities, Director Vailatti has been
active in numerous professional and community organizations. She is
president of the Federation of Families and Friends of Children
with Special Needs, and has served as president of the Association
of Women Against Cancer.
Director Vailatti and her husband, Osmar Jos', also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have three children and one grandchild.
