Recruiting new club members is an on-going process. Often, new members introduce new club projects and activities.
Potential new Leo club members can be recruited from among:
- classmates
- friends
- relatives
- friends from church, synagogues, mosques, etc.
- sports teammates
- youth group friends
- co-workers
Leos can ask others to help identify potential new members. Leos can ask:
- teachers
- coaches
- clergy
- community leaders
- family members
- Lions
The media is another source for the recruitment of new Leos. The accomplishments of successful young leaders are often featured in the local media. Leos can contact these young achievers and invite them to join their Leo club.
Once a young person exhibits interest in joining a club, Leo leaders can invite the prospect to the club's next fundraiser or service project. During the event, the Leos can introduce the newcomer to other club members. Allow the prospect to decide if Leo club membership is right for him or her.
