Blogs and Vlogs
With more than 1.3 million members in 205 countries, Lions are working to improve communities worldwide. And now, you can see how we're making a difference with blogs and vlogs that showcase our service projects.
Blogs by Lions and Leos
Go behind the scenes of club service projects – and get first-hand reports from the Lions and Leos involved – with the blogs and vlogs they create:
- The Lions Club of Cayman Brac joined forces with the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During October, the clubs hosted a Breast Cancer Walk/Run to raise funds for on-going Breast Cancer support and awareness projects. Learn about the Lions’ efforts to increase awareness of Breast Cancer on the Brac.
- The newly formed Gnadenhutten Lions Club hosted its first annual “Trunk or Treat” to provide a safe and fun Halloween event for local kids. During the event, Lions parked their cars at the Community Savings Bank – and allowed children to go “trunk-to-trunk” to collect Halloween treats. Join the Lions as they celebrate Halloween with hundreds of children, parents and four-legged trick or treaters.
Blogs About Lions
Find out about our work in the world by reading blogs written by others about us, our members, our Foundation – and the service projects we support:
- For nearly 20 years, the Greenpoint Lions club has brightened the holidays for local children through its “Toys for Tots” program. This year, the club is raising funds to buy toys and winter coats to distribute during the Christmas season. And to provide financial support for local programs for those in need. See how the Lions are helping make the holidays happier for local families.
- This December, the Lions Club of Toowoomba West will once again stage a beloved community event – the Christmas Wonderland of Lights. This event has become one of Queensland’s biggest light extravaganzas with more than 45,000 people visiting the display each year. Learn more about this inspiring event. And how it has helped Lions raise nearly $200,000 for charity.
