Hearing and Diabetes

Lions are known for programs that serve the blind or visually impaired – or aim to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness. But we also participate in health programs and projects that focus on hearing and diabetes.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month

Did your club or district organize a project or activity to promote diabetes awareness in November – or to celebrate World Diabetes Day on November 14? If so, please let us know what type of Lions project or activity you performed:

  • Organize a health screening for diabetes?
  • Distribute diabetes educational handouts in the community?
  • Participate in a Lions Strides Walk?
  • Provide support to a Lions diabetes camp or foundation?
  • Another type of project?

Send a brief description of your project to Health & Children's Services Department.
