The Buffalo News (New York, USA) March 8, 2010 – Nearly 1,000 people participated in the 41st Lions Club Polar Bear Day in Olcott, raising more than $15,000.
Coastweek.com (Kenya) March 5, 2010 – The Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani held a charity walk to raise money for a blood separating machine.
Manotick/Winchester EMC (Ontario, Canada) March 5, 2010 – The Metcalfe and District Lions Club donated $10,000 to the local hospital’s ophthalmology unit.
Wexford People (County Wexford, Ireland) March 3, 2010 – The Wexford Lions Club raised € 10,000 for Haiti relief efforts.

Times of Swaziland, March 2, 2010 – The Lions Club of Manzini collected E35,000 to purchase a skin-grafting machine to help a severely burned young boy.

WJFW, Newswatch 12 (Wisconsin, USA) Feb. 27, 2010 – Almost 500 people attended the Tomahawk Lions Club second-annual Tumble in the Tundra, an event where 18 wrestlers clad in sumo suits battled it out for two minutes each round.
The Southland Times (Invercargill, South New Zealand) Feb. 26, 2010 – The Toi Tois Tokanui Lions Club began fundraising for a memorial that now stands at a local cemetery.
Leinster Leader (County Kildare, Ireland) Feb. 25, 2010 – The Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club stepped in to help fund books for two schools when the state withdrew grants.
Baron News-Shield (Wisconsin, USA) Feb. 25, 2010 – The Rice Lake Lions Club started recording newspaper on audio-cassette for the blind when the library was no longer able to provide the service.
Rhyl Journal (North Wales, England) Feb. 24, 2010 – The Prestatyn and Rhyl Lions Club donated their minibus, which will be used to transport sick children in Uganda to hospitals.
Henley Standard (Oxfordshire, England) Feb. 22, 2010 – The Goring, Woodcote and District Lions Club donated £2,000 towards the cost of a minibus for special needs children.
Cowra Guardian (New South Wales, Australia) Feb. 22, 2010 – The Cowra Lions Club donated a portable classroom sound system to help children with hearing impairments understand lessons.

Lubbock Online (Texas, USA) Feb. 21, 2010 – More than 900 Lions served 14,000 people at the 58th annual Lubbock Lions Club Pancake Festival.
Namibia Economist, Feb. 19, 2010 – Lions Club Windhoek Alte Feste donated N$80,000 to the School for the Hearing Impaired in Khomasdal.

WNDU 16 (Indiana, USA) Feb. 7, 2010 – The Lakeville Lions Club pledged to pay for postage so local Girl Scouts can send cookies to soldiers serving in Iraq.
