Edward M. Lindsey

Edward M. Lindsey, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, USA, was elected president of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 49th annual convention held in New York, New York, USA, July 1966.

Past President Lindsey, a former mayor of Lawrenceburg, is the president of a church furniture manufacturing company.

A Lion and a member of the Lawrenceburg Lions Club since l946, Past President Lindsey has had a perfect attendance record since that time. He has held many positions in association including club president, zone chairperson, district governor and served a two-year term as a member of the association's board of directors from l960-62.

Active in work for the blind, Past President Lindsey is president of Ed Lindsey Industries of the Blind and recently received the National Board Member of the Year Award from the National Industries for the Blind. He is also president of the Lawrence County Lions Nursing Home and the Lawrenceburg Lions Home, a member of the board of trustees of Martin College and former vice chairman of the board of trustees for Columbia State Community College.

Past President Lindsey and his wife, Virginia, have a daughter, Ann, and three grandchildren.
