LCIF Visits Affected Areas in Haiti
On February 24, 2010, LCIF Chairperson Al Brandel and his wife Dr. Maureen Murphy arrived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with members of our staff from LCIF to visit affected areas and assess needs.

They drove through the middle of the city, and saw how much work needs to be done due to the significant devastation. They also met with the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti, and several non-governmental organizations to discuss collaboration efforts and leveraging of resources.

During their two-day trip, Al and Maureen visited the tent cities Lions have helped established. And worked with Lions to develop a long-term relief strategy.
