Photo of the Week: Lions Reach Out to Help the Disabled in Haiti
Lions are committed to pitching in with resources wherever we are needed in the world. We found this week’s photo in the Belmont Citizen-Herald.
After the devastating earthquake in Haiti destroyed the Wings of Hope School near Port-au-Prince, disabled students needed help getting around. When the Belmont Lions Club in Belmont, Massachusetts heard about the situation, they decided to donate a collapsible wheelchair to help. Lions Club President Robert Barrett said, “It’s a worthy cause and that’s what we do – give to worthy causes.”
