Story of the Week: Lions, LCIF Providing Pakistan Flooding Relief
8/18/10 Update: Lions Clubs International Foundation approved a major catastrophe grant for Pakistan today, providing US$120,000 to fund Lions’ disaster relief efforts.
Lions and LCIF are bringing aid to communities affected by the recent flooding in Pakistan. More than 15 million people are displaced, and more than 1,200 dead, after the deadliest flooding in 80 years.
Lions in Pakistan are already providing disaster relief. The Sialkot Eden Lions Club in District 305 N2 is distributing food packages and water to residents affected by the flooding.
LCIF and Lions around the world are also responding. LCIF has awarded an emergency grant, and created a designated account for Pakistan flooding relief donations.
