President’s Service Blog: Raleigh Host Lions Club
Hands-on service shines a light that directly touches people. People volunteer for many reasons, but mostly because they want to make a difference. They are questioning what is important in their lives and reassessing how they spend their time. They are turning to community service and other volunteer opportunities.
As Lions, we should strive to personally sponsor a minimum of two Lions – one to replace yourself and one to grow the organization. When I was home recently, I had the pleasure of inducting two new Lions into the Raleigh Host Lions Club.
As president of this global service organization, it’s just as exciting today to personally welcome new Lions as it was 15 years ago when I became an associate member of this club. Remember, every new Lion you can add to your club is another set of helping hands to assist your club in becoming a beacon of hope in your community.
