Behind-the-Scenes at Convention: Peace Poster Winner Meets Lions

Eleven-year-old Raj Phairembam, the 2010-2011 Lions International Peace Poster Contest winner, traveled to Seattle to meet Lions and Leos and autograph copies of his winning poster. The first Peace Poster winner from India was such a hit that Lions lined up nearly 45 minutes early to secure a signed poster in return for a donation to Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Representing the 350,000 children worldwide who participate in the contest each year, Raj took a bow on stage at the first plenary session of the 94th Lions International Convention before greeting Lions in the exhibit hall. He had his first look at the Peace Poster Exhibit featuring his winning poster and the posters of all the merit award winners who artistically represented the theme Vision of Peace.Raj at Convention
