President’s Service Blog: Providing Heart Surgery for Children, Kenya

lionsheartbabiesLions around the world do amazing work every day. I recently heard about the Lions Heart Babies Project in District 411-A, Kenya that provides medical care for children with heart problems.

At the Kenyatta National Hospital, 46 kids ages 2 ½ months to 12 years old recently underwent heart-related operations during the course of two weeks. All of these operations were free to the patients, thanks to Lions. The surgeries were performed by a team of visiting doctors and nurses from the United Kingdom.

Projects such as this show what Lions can accomplish when we believe in the work we do.
