Photo of the Week: Michigan Lions Help Troops Have a Happy Holiday

As the holidays approach, our clubs around the world are making this time of year special. Many Lions are feeding families through our Relieving the Hunger Global Service Action Campaign. Others are making the season brighter for those spending the holidays away from their families. We found this week’s photo, which was taken at the Paw Paw Lions Club building, in The Courier Leader.

Operation Holiday Cheer

The Paw Paw Lions Club opened its doors to host the fifth-annual “Operation Holiday Cheer” event, which was sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers of Southwest Michigan. Lions brought their community together for the event and about 250 people prepared bags stuffed with beef jerky, granola bars, cotton socks, toothpaste and homemade holiday ornaments. The group filled 125 large and 15 small boxes to send to service men and women.
