Judges Meet in Chicago to Select 2012 Peace Poster Contest Winners
On January 26, members of Chicago’s art, education, peace, media and youth communities gathered at the Loyola University Museum of Art to judge the international level of the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. Scoring the posters on originality, artistic merit and portrayal of the theme is difficult on the club, district and multiple district levels and even harder at the international level. With more clubs than ever participating in this popular annual program, this year’s judges saw more posters than before – 126 posters from 60 countries. The one grand prize winner and 23 merit winners will be announced later this month.
In this video, you’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at the judging process and see some of the posters submitted from around the world.
