Many of our clubs sponsor events in March for Eye Donor Awareness Month as part of our continued commitment to improve the lives of people with visual impairments. We found this week’s photo from the Shreveport and Bossier Lions Club at KTBS.com.photo of the week march 5

The club held Stride for Sight, a 5K race and 1-mile fun run to benefit the Louisiana Lion’s Eye Bank. Located in Shreveport, the eye bank restores sight by collecting and distributing donor eye tissue. The club also collected used eyeglasses at the race.
