Photo of the Week: Maryland Lions Ensure Preschoolers Can See the Lesson
Many of our clubs perform vision screenings, either with mobile screening vans or at special events. Vision screenings are crucial for children because children with unidentified vision problems can have difficulties keeping up in class. This week’s photo came to us from the Carroll County Times.
Lions from the Freedom District Lions Club and South Carroll Lioness-Lions Club performed vision screenings on 2- to 4-year-old kids. Of the 65 children screened, 10 children received referrals for more testing. Through this program, the clubs will screen more than 200 kids this season.
