Photo of the Week: California Lions Serve Up A Feast From the Sea
Many of our clubs hold food-related fundraisers, including pancake breakfasts and pasta dinners. In California, Lions have found a way to incorporate a locally popular dish into the fundraising mix. We found this week’s photo at LosGatos.Patch.com. The Los Gatos Lions Club served up cioppino, a fish stew featuring crab legs, shrimp, oysters, clams and calamari, to more than 300 hungry patrons. In addition to salads, breads, antipasto, wine and the main-course stew, diners enjoyed a raffle and silent auction for art, gift baskets, jewelry, wine and other prizes. Proceeds from the ticket sales benefited a variety of charitable organizations and causes.
