President’s Service Blog: Thank You for Believing in Lions Clubs International

I wish I could thank each and every one of you—each and every Lion and Leo—for your past year of service. As my year as your international president ends, I am overwhelmed with what we accomplished in one short year. Together, we planted nearly 10 million trees, improving our environment for generations to come.  We helped many millions of people around the world, providing much needed services and hope.

I have always believed that when we work together, Lions make communities better. Now, I know that when we believe, amazing things happen.

Thank you, Lions and Leos of the world, for making a significant difference in our communities and the world. We planted trees, fed the hungry, prevented blindness, helped young people and so much more.   I believe—I know—that together, We Serve.

    Kind and sensitive Mr. President Tam, we planted our little oak tree, “The tree of Music”, in a schoolyard in Realmonte, Sicily, with pupils, thinking we wanted to plant an entire forest of beautiful trees, for them, for all children, for us, our future as People and Lions. We did what we could, but we BELIEVED and BELIEVE!
