#LCI2012 Update: Indiana Business Leader & Educator Elected International President

Wayne A. Madden of Auburn Indiana, USA, was elected president of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea June 22-26. President Madden is an insurance agent and a certified insurance counselor and a former teacher.

As the leader of the world’s largest service organization, Madden will spend the year visiting many of our 1.35 million members in 207 countries, learning how our 46,000 clubs meet the needs of their communities.

Madden’s theme, In a World of Service, calls upon Lions to expand our impact to meet new challenges. Using the hash tag #WeServe, Lions and Leos are encouraged to send their service project updates to @lionsclubsorg on Twitter. These updates will be shared with Lions globally on President Madden’s Web page.

International President Madden will also share information about Lions projects through his President’s Service Blog. This will give you an exclusive look at the service Lions like you perform around the world.
