Photo of the Week: UK Lions Clubs Provide Day of Games for Adults with Disabilities

Many of our Lions clubs work to provide a better quality of life for people with disabilities. More than 250,000 Special Olympics athletes have received eye screenings through our Opening Eyes Program and our Champions Lions clubs that serve the needs of Special Olympics athletes and their families continue to grow. We found this week’s photo at ThisIsKent.co.uk.

Four Lions clubs coordinated It’s a Knockout — the Whitstable and Herne Bay Lions Club’s contest for teenagers and adults with disabilities. Participants tried their hand at creative competitions such as navigating an obstacle course, designing a joker for a deck of cards and trying out new moves at a dance contest. In this photo, Louise Bacon, 22, pins clothes to a clothesline with the help of Pearl Freeman.
