Photo of the Week: Pennsylvania Lions Travel to Help Joplin Lions Rebuild
Posted by Lions Clubs International on Monday, August 6, 2012 · 1 Comment
Our clubs are located in every corner of the earth, ensuring that when a disaster strikes, we will be there. However, the help doesn’t stop there. Because you’re part of a global network, there’s always a Lion nearby with a helping hand when it comes time to rebuild. We found this photo at The Joplin Globe.
In this photo, Pennsylvania Lions Jim Groff and Nancy Gauthier embrace in Joplin, Missouri, after Nancy delivers lunch. Jim has made three trips to Joplin since storms razed the area, bringing more than 25 volunteers with him to help recovery efforts. Together, the Lions have worked to clean up the area and restore normalcy.
