President’s Service Blog: Visiting a School, Malaysia
As your International President, I am honored to travel the globe and discover the amazing work our clubs are doing. To celebrate our Engaging our Youth Global Service Action Campaign this month, I’m happy to share a project I visited that’s improving the lives of young people.
When I traveled to Malaysia recently, Linda and I had the chance to visit a school in Kuala Lumpur. Lions there have made a 10-year commitment to help students of all ages with health and education efforts.
We met an inspiring group of students who were very excited about reading. As a former teacher, it warmed my heart to see the difference Lions are making in the lives of these boys and girls. When children are enthusiastic about school, it helps to instill a life-long love of learning that will serve them well as tomorrow’s leaders and volunteers. In a World of Service, Lions support educational efforts.
