Story of the Week: Lions Kick Off Engaging Our Youth Global Service Action Campaign

We all know that young people are the future of our organization and our communities. Lions around the world invest in young people in various ways, from early childhood development to leadership opportunities for teens. This month, our clubs come together to participate in the Engaging Our Youth Global Service Action Campaign.

During August, we recognize the power of youth involvement by planning activities in connection with United Nations International Youth Day. Many of our clubs work with their sponsored Leo club, serving alongside one another to achieve a common goal.

In this video, you’ll see how the Leo program gives teens and young adults a chance to make a difference in their community and gain valuable experience.

How will the members benefit by joining the club?

There are as many benefits to joining a Lions club as there are Lions in the world! Our members experience a host of benefits, including the satisfaction of improving their communities, the ability to help people in need, resources during times of disaster and crisis and the joy of being part of a global network of volunteers who live out our We Serve motto.
