Helping young people reach their full potential is a responsibility every Lion takes seriously. Whether it’s by supporting Lions Quest, sponsoring a Leo club or conducting preschool vision screenings, we are committed to helping tomorrow’s leaders thrive as youth and grow into healthy, thoughtful, caring adults.
This week, the Lions Clubs International Foundation celebrates its 10-year anniversary of Sight for Kids, a partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Asia Pacific. This collaboration means more than 16 million children in Asia have received vision screenings in the past decade. In conjunction with official events in Turkey for World Sight Day, hundreds of children in Bangkok will receive vision screenings today on to celebrate this partnership.
Globally, an estimated 1.4 million children are blind, and three-quarters of them live in the poorest regions of Asia and Africa. With your service, donations and support of LCIF, children across Asia have a brighter future and clearer vision.
