The Club Excellence Process

Lions Clubs International

The more your Lions club works on improving its communications, involvement, volunteer work and services, the more you can increase membership and better serve your community.

The Club Excellence Process (CEP) is a workshop that helps Lions clubs improve in certain areas. Each workshop is led by a trained facilitator and customized to meet your club’s needs.

The four steps of the Club Excellence Process ask the following questions:

  1. Why are we here? Discover community needs and discuss how Lions can make a difference, now and in the future.
  2. What makes an excellent club? Identify characteristics of an excellent club, as well obstacles along the way. Analyze ways to improve club effectiveness.
  3. How can we determine our needs? Review the Community Needs Assessment (completed in Step 1) and How Are Your Ratings results (completed in Step 2), and locate the resources available to achieve excellence.
  4. What can we do next? Set goals for your club and create action plans for execution!
