Lions in Finland Help Families
Posted by Lions Clubs International on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 · Leave a Comment

Lions in Helsinki, Finland, organized the “Help a Child, Help a Family” service activity, which involved asking supermarket customers to purchase one extra grocery product of their choice to donate to the campaign. Lions delivered products to the Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters, a national child welfare organization that helps single mothers and their children – especially those who have faced domestic violence.
Three Lions clubs and several Leos participated in the activity, resulting in more than EUR€3,000 (US$4,000) worth of groceries, personal hygiene products, children’s toys and more.
