Diabetes Awareness in Romania
Posted by Lions Clubs International on Friday, November 30, 2012 · 1 Comment

In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month, Lions in Oradea, Romania held a Diabetes Awareness event that included launching blue balloons into the air and handing out informational flyers about the risk factors, causes and symptoms of diabetes. They also gave out blue balloons, emphasizing the blue circle as the universal symbol of diabetes. That evening, Lions organized a show with music and theater for diabetic children. Funds raised from the show will be used to organize a summer camp for children with diabetes.
