Following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut last month, the Killingworth Lions Club responded. On a cold and windy Saturday morning, Lions collected more than $5,000 for their fellow Lions in Newtown. The Newtown Lions Club is using donations to help its community heal through counseling services. In addition, the Killingworth Lions collected handmade paper snowflakes to help decorate the school halls when students returned in January.

We found today’s story in the Middletown Press, and the photo is from the Killingworth Lions Club Facebook Page.
