Today’s photo shows how Lions in Taiwan participated in the Reading Action Program by donating 1,200 books to local educational centers. Donating books is just one of the many ways your club can help increase literacy in your community.
Other Reading Action Program community service projects include:
- Read to children at a local library
- Donate computers or other technology to schools or community centers
- Work with library to increase braille materials
- Collect books for a children’s hospital
- Tutor a child in reading
- Sponsor a community spelling contest
