The Hadley School for the Blind

In order to provide the highest level of help for the blind possible, Lions Clubs International partners with a number of sight-related organizations. One of these partners, the Hadley School for the Blind, offers no-cost distance education programs, including adult continuing education, high school education and family education. The school’s mission is to promote independent living for people who are blind or visually impaired, and it has been serving students (in English) all over the world for over 90 years.

As January is Lions Glaucoma Awareness Month, we encourage Lions to learn more about the disease and the life-long effects it can have on a person’s vision. The Hadley School for the Blind offers a Glaucoma course that provides information for people recently diagnosed with glaucoma. Read course details here.
