Last week, on a snowy day in Chicago, about 30 individuals from the local art and youth education communities came to the Loyola University Museum of Art to judge the 25th Annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest finalists.

Among the list of judges were Kim Koin, Lead Educator at the Chicago Children’s Museum; Steven Rosengard, Assistant Curator at the Museum of Science and Industry; James Lackey, an artist at Horizons for the Blind; Ann Meehan, Curator of Education at the Loyola University Museum of Art; and many others.

There were 117 final Peace Posters, created by 11-, 12- and 13-year-old artists from around the world. One winner was chosen, along with 23 Merit Award Winners. The winner will be announced on February 1 at Lions Day with the UN.

Thank you to all of the judges who participated, and congratulations to all of the finalists!
