Lions Annual State of Service Report

Lions Clubs International

The Annual State of Service Report provides an overview of the impact Lions are making in providing service to their communities.  In 2011-2012, Lions from around the world worked to address some of the most pressing issues facing our global community, including disaster preparedness and relief, health and wellness, and environmental sustainability.

Highlights from the 2011-12 Report:

  • The Engaging Our Youth Global Service Action Campaign had the highest amount of reported activities, through which 1.6 million people were served.
  • Immediate Past President Wing-Kun Tam challenged Lions to plant one million trees. By the end of the 2011-12 fiscal year, Lions reportedly planted over 15 million trees.
  • Reporting Lions clubs organized more than 16,000 Disaster Preparedness and Relief activities, including blood drives, emergency health service and emergency supplies collection.

No matter how big or small, the volunteer work that your Lions club puts into the community is making an impact and changing lives. Read the entire 2011-12 Annual State of Service Report here.
