Palmer’s Blog: Salsa in Columbia
I’m very excited to be in Cali, Columbia this week for the FOLAC Forum! But before the FOLAC sessions begin, I was able to visit a poor area of Cali where Lions run a school for deaf students. They are looking to expand into secondary school next year. The students gave several amazing performances, including a salsa dance.
I even learned a few salsa steps myself in preparation of tonight’s show. I think I need more lessons, though — the students at the Lions school were far better, of course!
Looking forward to another great forum, which will include workshops on global campaigns, recruitment of youth and the Reading Action Program.
