Palmer’s Blog: Serving Deaf Children in Tunisia
Last week I was in Tunisia for the All Africa Conference, and I was able to make a visit to a facility built by Lions for deaf children. Here is a photo of me with students I met from the school. These students are deaf, and they are taking courses at the school that teach them how to cook — a skill that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives.
I love Lions programs such as this one, which provide young people not only with the immediate resources and support they need, but also skills that they will keep with them forever to better improve their lives on their own.
