LQ: Lions Help Prevent Bullying
The latest issue of Lions Quarterly features a segment about Lions programs that address a serious concern among today’s youth: bullying. As more and more young people use texting, email and social media as a form of communication, bullying goes even further than the school yard and can now follow kids wherever they go.
The Lions Quest program provides resources that helps teachers open up a conversation about bullying in the classroom. The Leo Club program gets young people involved in community service activities, showing them the importance of helping others rather than hurting others.
