The Lions Family Cub Program
With Family and Friends Month in full swing, it’s time to find ways to get everyone in your family involved in community service — even the little ones! The Lions Family Cub Program is a perfect way to make your club more family-friendly, and to start teaching the value of volunteering at a young age.
What is the Cub Program?
Cubs are children and relatives of Lions. The program is divided into three age groups: 3 and under, 4 to 7, and 8 to 12. LCI provides a Cub Program Guide, which includes suggested activities for meetings, events and fundraisers that can be implemented for each age group.
Why start a Cub Program?
- A Cub Program can help your club grow! Encouraging members to get their kids involved in meetings and service activities opens the door for people who might not otherwise join because of family obligations.
- Bring families closer together! Through the Cub Program, community service becomes a chance for families to spend time together while doing good.
- Teach children the value of helping others! Introduce children to the joys of volunteering, and lead them toward a future of helping people in need. Cubs are tomorrow’s Leos and Lions.
