When you attend LDUN Nairobi, you'll experience an unforgettable event, where you can:

  • Take a guided tour of the United Nations Office in Nairobi, the African Headquarters of the United Nations. Cost TBA.
  • Immerse yourself in rich culture and heritage, amazing wildlife, delectable cuisines, and unforgettable adventure.
  • Network with Lions, Leos and officials from the United Nations.
  • Learn about recent developments in our U.N. partnership and how you can take action.

Event registration

 

Registration is required to attend the meeting at the United Nations. The registration fee collected will cover the cost of attendee giveaways including a Lions International padfolio, pen, commemorative event pin, presidential pin, two tea breaks, lunch and printed souvenir program. There is no registration fee associated with attending the meeting at the United Nations.

The deadline to register is Monday, January 20, 2025 — no exceptions will be made after this date.

Additional LDUN activities:

  • LDUN Gala Celebration Dinner: US$80

Registration Desk and Material Pick-up: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day 
Trademark Hotel, 2nd Floor

Materials must be picked up at the hotel before entering the United Nations Headquarters.

All delegates will be required to bring and show their identification documents before entering the United Nations Headquarters.

Thursday, February 13

LDUN Program: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Program notes:

  • Attire is business or business casual.
  • Lunch and tea break included in the program.
  • Please allow at least 30 minutes at the United Nations Headquarters to go through security.
  • For a visa, please visit the online E-Visa Application portal at www.evisa.go.ke.
  • A government-issued photo ID is required ahead of time to pre-register all the participants at the United Nations. You will not be allowed in without your ID.
  • The day of the LDUN Program, bring your government-issued photo ID along with your LDUN event badge for headquarters security. The name on your government-issued ID must match the name in your LDUN event registration.

LDUN Celebration Gala Dinner: 7:00 p.m.

Celebrate with Lions, Leos and U.N. dignitaries at a one-of-a-kind gala dinner experience. A separate ticket must be purchased to attend this dinner. Tickets are limited and on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellations and refunds
  • Cancellation and refunds for LDUN Nairobi must be requested before January 15, 2025. No exceptions will be made after this date.
  • All requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing via email to ldun@lionsclubs.org. 
  • LDUN registration cannot be transferred to another Lion, Leo, guest, child, or a future convention or future LDUN event.
  • A processing fee of US$10 will be withheld from each approved refund for LDUN registration.
Visa invitation letters

Lions International will no longer issue visa letters of invitation for LDUN events. For a visa, please visit the online E-Visa Application portal at www.evisa.go.ke
