More Ways to Give
We rely on humanitarian donations to improve millions of lives worldwide, and we’re dedicated to ensuring the best use of our donors’ generosity. To help our donors make donations in ways that match their lifestyles and interests, we offer several options for giving.
Give, Your Way
No matter which way you choose to give, we’re grateful for your kindness and support. Each donation is crucial to our mission of global humanitarian service. Thank you!
Check and Credit Card Donations
The Foundation has begun using a lock box service to receive and process all donations. Check and credit card donations should be mailed to the address below, not LCIF headquarters. Mail donations along with the Donation Recognition Form and/or the Melvin Jones Fellowship Application to:
Lions Clubs International Foundation
Carol Stream, Illinois 60122-4547
Package Delivery Services (e.g. UPS, FedEx)
Mail Code IL1-6030
2500 Westfield Drive
Elgin IL 60124
Please see LCIF Donations and Recognition Frequently Asked Questions for further instructions on donating by check. Credit card payments can also be made securely online.
Wire transfer of U.S. dollars directly into LCIF’s bank account is an easy way to send humanitarian donations. In countries outside the U.S., many have found this to also be the most economical method. In countries where Lions Clubs International has bank accounts, funds may be deposited in local currency. Be sure to check the association's official exchange rates, shown on monthly club statements.

Maximize Your Humanitarian Donation
Below are two great ways to make your donation grow without any additional cost to you—enabling LCIF to do even more for people in need throughout our global community.
Thousands of companies in the U.S. will match their employees’ charitable contributions, enabling you to double or even triple your donation. Is your employer one of them? Click here for a list of Matching Gift Companies. Ask your employer if they participate in a matching gift or workplace giving program, and if they do, follow these easy steps:
1) Obtain a matching gift form from your employer, probably either from human resources or payroll. (Some companies will provide a matching gift for community service—a perfect fit for Lions.)
2) Complete the donor section of the form.
3) Mail the form with credit card information or check* for your portion of the donation, made payable to LCIF, (or copy of cancelled check if donation already has been made) to:
300 W. 22nd St.
Oak Brook, IL 60523-8842
Attn.: LCIF Development
* Please indicate the desired designation in the memo section of the check. (Please note that Melvin Jones Fellowship recognition is only available for donations made to one of the listed Areas of Giving.
Donating stocks or securities is a special way to give to LCIF. There are many benefits for both the donor and LCIF when contributing in this way. Advantages may include:
- No capital gains federal and state tax
- Receiving an income tax deduction for the full market value of the gift if you itemize deductions on your tax return and have held the assets one year or longer
Gifts of securities can easily be transferred to LCIF. Simply download the Gifts of Securities Donation Form and follow the instructions.
The foundation is not able to accept in-kind donations, such as emergency relief supplies.
The foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible, as allowed under the Internal Revenue Service code.
