A path to restoration

Discover how Lions are bringing hope and relief to Japan's Noto Peninsula after a devastating earthquake struck on January 1, 2024. With US$200,000 in disaster relief grant funding from LCIF, Lions in Japan quickly mobilized to provide essential supplies—sanitary items, food, water and more—to families affected by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake. Lions also established outdoor soup kitchens to offer warm meals and a sense of community amid the destruction. “Together, we will rebuild,” says District Governor Susumu Koide of District 334-D, emphasizing the resilience of those impacted.
