Second Vice District Governor Training Program
The Second Vice District Governor (SVDG) Training Program is designed to develop the leadership skills second vice district governors need to fulfill role-specific responsibilities and succeed as a member of the district governor team.
The training blends self-paced, online courses in the Lions Learning Center, a live virtual seminar with fellow second vice district governors and local training coordinated by multiple/single district GLT coordinators or GAT area leaders.

Live virtual seminar
SVDGs will be grouped with fellow SVDGs for a series of live virtual sessions which offer the opportunity to discuss topics such as LCIF, membership development and leadership development skills. The seminar will consist of six sessions beginning in November.
Details regarding schedules and preparation materials will be communicated directly to SVDGs in August.
The SVDG Virtual Seminar platform becomes available in October, with registration details being emailed directly to SVDGs. For assistance registering for the seminar and navigating the platform, view this help video.
VDG Multiple/Single District Workshop
Lions International provides resources and curriculum for multiple districts and single districts to conduct a joint workshop for SVDGs and FVDGs in their area. This instructor-led workshop is organized by MD GLT coordinators in consultation with the GAT area leaders.

Online learning and assignments
SVDGs will be assigned online courses to complete throughout their first year of training. The courses will be automatically assigned as they become available in the Lions Learning Center (LLC). Click the button below to access the Lions Learning Center and look for the SVDG Learning Path.
