Extension Awards
Chartering new clubs is an important part of expanding our service and global impact. And Lions who help start new clubs may be eligible to earn special recognition through the Extension Awards. Learn more about the two types of awards and how you can earn one!
International Extension Awards
We’re proud to recognize Lions who provide the greatest assistance in the organization of a successful new Lions club.
Qualifying Criteria
- The serving district governor selects two Lions who helped charter a club to receive an award.
- The new club must remain active and in good standing for at least a year.
- Lions can earn personalized pins for clubs 1-5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100 and 150 clubs.
District Governor Extension Awards
With the District Governor Extension Award, we’re proud to recognize district governors who charter clubs within their district.
Qualifying Criteria
- Awarded to district governors who charter one or more clubs.
- Award will be issued to the immediate past district governor after June 1 following their respective fiscal year.
- The award will indicate the number of new clubs formed in the previous fiscal year that are still in good standing as of May 31 of the next fiscal year.
